Welcome to MinPinHavenWHO ARE WE?
MinPinHaven,
a non-profit, no kill rescue group located in the Phoenix area, is
dedicated to caring for miniature pinschers and other small breed dogs
who are searching for their new forever families. The rescue babies are
welcome to stay at MinPinHaven until their perfect forever home is
found. One of the requirements of the adoption process is a home visit
and meeting the entire new adoptive family. Since we can’t get to the
rest of the US to do home visits, our dogs are adopted only in Arizona –
we do not ship dogs to their new homes.
Your donations help any residents at MinPinHaven with shots, spay/neuter, micro chips, flea/tick medication, etc. or comfort items like soft bedding, or healthy treats. If you would like to be a sponsor of some of the special needs babies, their stories follow:
Miss Minchi has a pulmonary valve that is stuck open and she needs an operation similar to an angioplasty to correct that. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, she will live a normal, healthy life after the operation – the operation is $4,000 - $5,000.
If you would like to support a new resident at MinPinHaven with a spay/neuter, all their shots, micro chip, heartworm test, monthly heartworm preventative medication and flea/tick preventative, the cost is $145. If you would like to sponsor spays/neuters ($55 and $50 respectively), or contribute any other amount, we would most appreciative.

Please feel free to contribute using PayPal, or you can contact us if you would like to donate wire kennels, bedding, or other items on our wish list.
ADOPTION PROCESS Thank you for your interest in rescuing a Miniature Pinscher and providing a forever home to one of these wonderful dogs. The following information is intended to help you understand the adoption process and how that process works. 1. Under the “Online Forms” tab you will find an Adoption Application, a copy of the Adoption Contract, an Owner Give Up Form (if you need to find another home for your MinPin), and a Volunteer Application (should you like to Volunteer to help MinPinHaven help the dogs in our care). 2. Once you have completed the Adoption Application (and given it the once over to check the accuracy of your phone numbers, email address, vet name and contact information, etc.), written down which dog(s) you are interested in meeting, and hit the submit button, we will receive your application. Please also contact your vet and personal references and tell them you are working on adopting a rescue MinPin and they should expect a call from Carolyn or Pat from MinPinHaven Rescue and it is okay to speak with us. 3. We will check your personal and vet references (and your landlord should you rent) and then contact you to make an appointment to do a home visit with the dogs you are interested in meeting. We come at a convenient time for your entire family to be present so the dog(s) get to meet everyone they will live with. 4. If you like one of the dogs and the dog likes your family, we will complete the adoption process at that time (payment in full of the adoption fees and signing the contract), and your new family member will move in at that time. 5. Cost: Dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. They are up to date on their shots, including bordatella (kennel cough) shot, they are micro chipped and have been heartworm tested and are on monthly heartworm preventative medication. You will receive copies of all their paperwork – from Maricopa County Animal Care and Control or the Humane Society along with any private vet care they may have received while in our care. Dogs usually range from $200 and up depending on the veterinary care they needed prior to being adopted. OWNER GIVE UP Please complete the Owner Give Up form if you need to permanently give up your MinPin for adoption. Please provide as much vet history as possible for your minpin so the new family will and their vet will have as complete a history to care for their new family member.
Thank You
